Community Engagement

Sessions took place with people of all ages:

  •                 ‘Shipmates’ 4 to 7 year olds, after school
  •                 Gairloch High School, S1
  •                 Saturday night Sessions – highlife highland youth work
  •                 Kinlochewe Lunch Club (adults, plus children from Kinlochewe Primary)
  •                 Isle View Care Home, Aultbea

Aside from the sessions, many local people gave up their time to relate stories, anecdotes and poems that were recorded as part of the artwork Fish Tales in the end exhibition.

There were also opportunities for anyone in the area to meet the artist, see work in process and otherwise get involved:

  •                 Open Studio, Gairloch Heritage Museum, 3 to 7pm, Friday 15th March
  •                 ‘Round About Gairloch’, Myrtle Bank Hotel, 11 to 3pm, Saturday 16th March
